Profile Summary & Courses Offered
The job profile of an aircraft maintenance engineers is to ensure the safety and security of aircraft and other flying machines. They are specially trained to perform complex maintenance processes and issue Flight Release Certificates in all respects before each take-off.
AME program offers two types of courses i.e. Basic Course and Major Course.
#1. CATEGORY A1 License – AME (Transit Engineer)
- Category A1 license is the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license to handle Jet Engine Powered Aeroplanes. The holder of Category A1 license is directly employable with Level-Rating. He can be used for flight departures on any type of aircraft (Jet Engine powered aircraft) in Line Maintenance.
- The Time duration for completion of a course is 1+1 years.
- Total training course fees is Rs 3,06,000/-
#2. CATEGORY B1.1 License – AME (Major Maintenance Engineer)
- Category B1.1 Basic License includes all Category A1 privileges. After obtaining a Level Rating for a particular aircraft, the person will become a full-fledged Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to cover maintenance, repair, substitution or rectification of structure, engine, mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems for that type of aircraft. This license holder category can be used in line maintenance as well as in major maintenance for the Aircraft type.
- The Time duration for completion of a course is 2+2 years.
- Total training course fees is Rs 5,36,000/-
