A1 license is a Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license to cover up Jet Engine Powered Aeroplanes. The holders of this license are directly employable without Type-Rating.

Total Duration of A1 Course is 1+1 Years.


B1.1 is a basic license including all the privileges of category A1. After pursing this aircraft maintenance course, the person becomes a full-fledged Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to cover maintenance, engine, mechanical, repair, replacement or rectification of structure and etc.

Total Duration of B1.1 Course is 2+2 Years.

Besides from all this, there are numerous other things in the life of an aircraft maintenance engineer.

AME trainees are required to undergo structural aircraft type courses.Further after the successful completion of the training programme, the

AMEs are provided with a basic aircraft maintenance training certificate. This is followed by an examination conducted by the DGCA.
